The Year of Creativity - Week 2

This was my second week of strongly encouraging myself to do something creative every day.
Week 2
Week 2 was harder, less productive, and less joyful than Week 1, but I did technically fulfill the goal. I think the reasons it was harder had more to do with surrounding life circumstances than the project itself, specifically that I was back to commuting 2 days/week, and I had a couple nights of rough sleep. Maybe I had also burned through my initial batch of ideas in Week 1. But new ideas did come!
Themes of the Week:
Webs: I started the week with some webby crochet, partially in an effort to move away from my sewing machine.
Scrappy Quilts: I ended up gravitating back toward sewing, specifically the idea of sewing little quilt-ish portraits of buildings, which is something I had played around several years ago with umbrella fabric. This time I'm just continuing to pull random scraps out of my scrap back.
Scraps!: (see above)
WIPs: I like the idea of using this to "close out" projects that have been on progress rack for a while, as I did today. It's not quite the original vision of this project, but it is one way to keep momentum up when you don't have a brand new idea (and clear out the queue).
Sunday - Wire Web
Monday - Lamp Web
Tuesday - Webby Sketch
Tuesday was the second of my in-office days this week (after Monday), and my anxiety is usually a lot higher on those days. In this week it messed with my sleep, and 3 am sketch is all I could gather the energy for. Still reflecting on the web themes.

Wednesday - Other Sketch
The second sketch-only day of the week. This one did lead pretty directly into the project I worked on Thursday/Friday.

Thursday - Scrappy House Portrait
Friday - Scrappy House Portrait (Contd.)
Saturday - Summer Top
I started this top at some point in the summer, and I remember messing it up and putting it in my WIP at some point right before my wedding. Today I pulled it back out to work on during a sewing day with my friend Catherine, and ended up finishing it later in the afternoon.
